Advertising Scouts, AWG This is a great volunteer opportunity! You can do this in just a couple of hours a week, and also use the time to keep up with breaking news and developments in a specialty area of geoscience, or a society or association. Stay in touch and keep up to date, even while unemployed, home with kids, or (gasp) doing something besides geoscience for money! We need a few good women who lurk on listservs or receive just one publication. Watch for job postings, make an initial contact with the potential advertiser (we'll supply suggested wording for you to customize). And that's all there is to it.
